Synopsis
aaf08-addtogoodreadschasingperfection3cover         "If DeVon Ricci thinks I'm going to apologize for what happened, he's sorely mistaken. I don't care how hot the sex was, or even if he sometimes seems like he's going to be a decent guy, I'm not asking for forgiveness. I don't need it. I've done nothing wrong. We were never anything to each other but two nights of great sex." "Why, then, am I still drawn to him?" When DeVon Ricci discovers that his perfect Krissy Jensen isn't so perfect after all, he retreats back behind the walls he's put up to keep himself from being hurt. As truths begin to reveal themselves, DeVon must decide if loving Krissy is worth the risk of a broken heart. Can Krissy and DeVon finally put aside everything that's tried to come between them and admit what they've both felt from moment one? That, together … they're perfection.

Chasing Perfection: Vol. III by M.S. Parker
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

After the cliff hanger at the end of book 2, I couldn't wait to get my hands on this book.

And I wasn't disappointed. After assuming the worst DeVon has to change to win his girl back, and boy does he change. The chemistry between these is just WOW! Looking forward to November when we get more DeVon & Krissy.

51289-add-to-goodreads-button  HG EXCERPT Rolling my head in the direction of the voice that just spoke my maiden name, I came face to face with none other than Luke Wellington. Utterly surprised by his presence I quickly tried to regain my composure, “It’s actually Savannah Worthington,” holding up my four carat diamond ring and matching wedding band I flashed it in front of his face and smiled, “I got married a little less than a year ago, so did Brooke.” Luke smiled, reaching up to run his fingers across my cheek and I shuddered at his familiar touch, “I heard the two of you settled down, and with none other than our biggest competition, Worthington Squared.” Winking at me as his hand lifted his drink to his mouth. “We did, Brooke and Josh are so in love, they’re even expecting a baby. We are so thrilled for them; all she talks about is being a mom.” I took a sip of the delicious rose colored drink that filled my champagne flute. “And what about you,” Luke asked, “are you happy too? Will you and Jake be bringing a baby into the world anytime soon?” Taking in a deep breath I pondered his question before answering, “Of course I’m happy, I love Jake, he is perfect, it’s just…” Faltering slightly I tried to form the rest of my sentence. Luke’s eyes peered into mine. He may have turned mine and Brooke’s lives upside down, but regardless of all of that he still knew me like that back of his hand. “What is it Sav?” He probed, sounding concerned. Standing up I leaned in and hugged Luke tightly, “I’ve got to run; it was great seeing you, Luke.” Rotating on my heels I darted out before he could say goodbye and hustled back toward Hourglass to retrieve my car. Praying for the sake of my own relationship that this was as close to Luke as I’d ever be again.

Wildcard: Volume Two (Wildcard, #2) by Missy Johnson

Wildcard: Volume Two (Wildcard, #2)Wildcard: Volume Two by Missy Johnson
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Missy has nailed it again, she's had me laughing out load and sat with a stupid grin on my face for over an hour.

I love Ryder, man-whore turned pussy whipped softy in a few weeks, love it!!!

All the questions from vol 1 cliff hanger are answered, but we still know Scar is hiding something, but what?? Roll on 30th September for Vol 3.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

What a lovely conclusion to the series, Patrick & Chloe are so good together.
Patrick is a loving, caring husband that protects his family and Chloe is a fantastic wife and mother.

Lets hope their troubles are behind them. I certainly wouldn't be disappointed if Eve wrote more books about these two or their friends, especially Ryan & Liam.

The Lover's Game (No Exceptions, #2)The Lover's Game by J.C. Reed
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I'm a bit disappointed, not only did I think this was a two part series which is now 3. I found it really hard to get into and I'm not sure why, maybe its because Brooke is a bit of a doormat and whinny or there's not enough Jett in the story!

I love Jessica's other books, but as the story progressed I got more into it. I deferentially going to be reading book 3 in October as I'm very intrigued and need to know what happens next.

What an awesome ending to this series, although I hope its not the last we hear from Luke & Angel. All our questions are answered, good over comes evil and I really did feel for Angel what a tough life!

Tess again has done an amazing job, I'm looking forward to more from the Barringer Brothers.

During Wasted Circle’s first big show, tragedy strikes leaving Dee alone. The life her and Josh planned for ends up being nothing but desolate promises. Unable to watch his best friend’s girlfriend drown under her own despair any longer, Adam steps in to help Dee cope with her loss and the upcoming birth of her baby. Adam is patient, kind and unrelenting. He stands by her side, never faltering despite his growing desire to be more than Dee’s supportive shoulder and the idea that he is betraying Josh. He refuses to give up on Dee and remains loyally by her side even when she admits herself into a psychiatric ward and he is left to father Josh and Dee’s baby. But even sweet and sturdy Adam has his limits.

My Review
Love, Always by Yessi Smith
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

3.5 stars.

This one is different from all the other rocker/band books I've read. The main reasons been the rocker isn't much of a bad boy!!! Both Josh and Adam are softies which made a nice change from the usual rocker bad boy/asshole turned good.

This is the first book of Yessi's that I have read and I will deferentially be looking for some more. You can feel the emotion of the characters, while I didn't do the ugly cry I did shed a tear and laugh throughout the book. Great writing style.
