I was lucky to get this free from Tess. I hadn't read the blurb about this book but as I'm a fan of Tess's work I went with it, not knowing what the book was about. I'm not one for historical or paranormal books and this is both, but it was really good, well written (as usual from Tess) with great characters and once I got into it I couldn't stop reading. Very pleasantly surprised.
